On September 24, Beijing time, shenchangyu, director of the State Intellectual Property Office of China, held a video conference in Beijing with Francis gorui, director general of the outgoing World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Shen expressed his high appreciation for Gao Rui's great contribution to WIPO and the development of the global intellectual property system in the past 12 years, and expressed his sincere thanks to Gao Rui for his support for China's intellectual property cause. He pointed out that since Gao Rui was the director general of WIPO, the cooperation areas and levels of the two sides have been further expanded and improved, with fruitful results. In 2012, the foreign Conference on the audiovisual performance treaty was successfully held in Beijing and the Beijing Treaty on audiovisual performance was concluded. At present, the treaty has entered into force. In 2014, WIPO established a China office in Beijing. WIPO also held China one belt, one road, the two high-level intellectual property conference. China has also become one of the main users of WIPO managed global IP service system. I hope Gao Rui will continue to pay attention to and support China's intellectual property work and provide valuable opinions and suggestions.

Francis gorui thanked the State Intellectual Property Office of China and director Shen Changyu for their strong support for WIPO and his work over the years, and highly praised the fruitful cooperation between WIPO and China. He pointed out that during his tenure as director general of WIPO, he witnessed the rapid development of China's intellectual property cause. At present, China's intellectual property index is in the forefront of the world, and has made important contributions to the improvement of the global intellectual property system. China has carried out a series of practical international exchanges and cooperation under the framework of WIPO. These "Chinese stories" deserve to be better spread to the world, especially at present, the international community needs to understand the real situation.
