On February 3, the Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau, together with the Provincial Department of justice and the provincial market supervision and administration, went to Nanjing to carry out the legislative research work of the Jiangsu Province intellectual property promotion and Protection Ordinance (Draft) (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations").

At the symposium, the responsible comrades of the policy and Regulations Department of the Provincial Intellectual Property Office introduced the legislative background and progress of the regulations. The participants combined with the actual work, put forward suggestions and suggestions from the aspects of legislation, intellectual property transformation and operation, intellectual property protection, etc. and the atmosphere of on-site exchange and discussion was warm.
40 representatives from the intellectual property related departments, such as market supervision and management, copyright, public security, customs, courts and procuratorates, state-owned enterprises, high-tech enterprises, intellectual property service institutions and universities, attended the symposium.

The Standing Committee of the provincial people's Congress has listed the regulations as the formal project of the 2021 legislative plan. As the leading drafting department of the regulations, the Provincial Intellectual Property Office insists on opening the door legislation, soliciting opinions from all walks of life and solving practical problems. At present, the regulations are in public consultation with the society.
