Recently, a special workshop on the construction of geographical indication brand jointly organized by the national intellectual property training base, Anqing Market Supervision Bureau and Hefei intellectual property development alliance was held in Anqing, hosted by the personnel department of the State Intellectual Property Office and the market supervision bureau of Anhui Province. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of relevant departments and offices of Anhui Market Supervision Bureau, assistant director of the school of public affairs of the University of science and technology of China, executive vice director of the national intellectual property training (Anhui) base, Secretary of Party group and director of Anqing Market Supervision Bureau. More than 100 people from Anhui Province, Anqing City, counties (cities) and other units participated in the seminar.

The seminar involves the application and protection of geographical indications, the construction of domestic and foreign geographical brands and management, the development of geographical indication system and the acquisition of geographical indication power, the typical case analysis of geographical indications trademarks, the financing of intellectual property pledge and value evaluation, etc. the seminar adopts the combination of online and offline, theory and practice, training and exchange. The seminar invited experts and scholars from the school of public affairs of China University of science and technology, the intellectual property College of Chongqing University of technology to give a special tutorial. The agricultural and rural Bureau and the enterprise representatives of Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province respectively introduced the experience of promoting the use of geographical indications.

The training course will play an important role in strengthening the training and cultural construction of geographical indication talents, promoting the implementation of the application of geographical indications promotion projects, improving the awareness and management level of geographical indication products protection and promoting the high-quality development of local economy.
