Recently, the provincial government issued the decision on granting the third Jiangsu patent inventor award, and 10 patent inventors, such as dingjianning, Jiangsu University, won the prize.

The patent inventor award presents four highlights: first, the number of winners of the enterprise has been further increased. Five winners from enterprises, compared with the previous year, increased by 2, up 67%, accounting for the first time 50% of the total; second, the trend of youth further showed. The average age of 10 winners was 49.9 years old, which was 3 years lower than the previous one. There are 3 young and medium-aged inventors under the age of 45, accounting for 30%; third, further expansion of industrial fields is involved. Ten winners have 812 major patents, of which 698 patents, accounting for 86%, cover advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental protection, biomedicine, material and chemical industry, electronic information and modern agriculture, etc.; fourth, the economic benefits of patents are further enhanced. In recent five years, the total sales volume of patent implementation in Jiangsu was 127.3 billion, an increase of 52% compared with the previous one, and the accumulated export volume was US $5.2 billion, 4 times higher than that of the previous one.

Jiangsu patent inventor award is the highest award in the field of intellectual property in our province sponsored by the provincial government. It is selected once every two years. After three evaluation activities, the total number of patent inventors has reached 30. It has played a leading role in promoting innovation spirit, promoting high value patent output, accelerating the construction of a province with strong intellectual property rights.
