According to the cooperation agreement of patent examination expressway project between China's State Intellectual Property Office and Saudi Arabia's Intellectual Property Office, the pilot project of patent examination Expressway (PPH) between China's State Intellectual Property Office (cnipa) and Saudi Arabia's Intellectual Property Office (Saip) will be launched on November 1, 2020 for a period of three years to October 31, 2023.

After the launch of Sino Saudi PPH pilot project, Saip applicants can submit PPH requests to cnipa in accordance with the process of submitting PPH requests to the State Intellectual Property Office of China (cnipa) under the Sino Saudi patent examination Expressway (PPH) pilot project; cnipa applicants can submit PPH requests to Saip in accordance with the process of submitting PPH requests to the Saudi Intellectual Property Office (Saip) under the patent examination Expressway pilot project request
