Novel coronavirus pneumonia was introduced by Shen Changyu in his speech, during which China's State Intellectual Property Office (CPR) actively carried out the work in responding to the epidemic situation, optimizing intellectual property services, protecting the rights and interests of users, supporting the resumption of production and reproduction of the market players, and strengthening international communication and cooperation. He said that in order to better cope with the impact of the epidemic, the State Intellectual Property Office of China has taken a series of measures, including the establishment of a "green channel" for epidemic related patents and trademark applications, the expansion of the remote office system, as well as the provision of convenient relief measures such as right recovery, reduction of material submission, and exemption of annual fee overdue fine. In the face of future challenges, he proposed that we should further play the important role of intellectual property in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and economic recovery, attach importance to the application of emerging technologies in the field of intellectual property, and constantly improve the social service capacity of intellectual property institutions. Shen Changyu said that China will continue to work with relevant international organizations and intellectual property institutions in various countries and regions to strengthen information exchange and experience sharing, jointly cope with the challenges brought by emergencies to the global intellectual property service system, ensure the orderly operation of the intellectual property service system, and provide better services for global users.
