On the morning of September 28th, the Party branch of the State Intellectual Property Office held a meeting to convey the spirit of the important speech of general secretary Xi Jinping in the forenoon of experts' Forum on education, culture, health and sports and the third central Xinjiang work forum, and to study and deploy the implementation. The meeting stressed that we should conscientiously study and understand the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, effectively integrate ideas and actions into the spirit of speech, enhance the "Four Consciousnesses", strengthen "four self-confidence" and achieve "two maintenances". In terms of promoting the development of education, we should continue to promote the construction of intellectual property disciplines, promote the cultivation of intellectual property talents, expand the popularization of intellectual property education, support colleges and universities to aim at key core technologies, speed up technological research, improve the quality of patents, and promote the theoretical and practical research of intellectual property. In promoting the development of cultural undertakings, we should give full play to the unique advantages of intellectual property, vigorously support the development of cultural and creative industries, and promote the intellectual property culture of "respecting knowledge, advocating innovation, being honest and law-abiding, and fair competition". In promoting the construction of healthy China, we should speed up the revision of the patent law, establish a compensation system for the term of drug patent protection, increase the protection of traditional Chinese medicine and human genetic resources, and help the scientific research of epidemic prevention and control. In promoting the construction of a sports power, we should do a solid job in protecting the intellectual property rights of the sports industry, and provide support for the success of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games with high-level and high-standard intellectual property protection. Do a good job in the targeted poverty alleviation work in Chongli, Hebei Province, and realize the organic interaction between poverty alleviation and development and supporting the holding of the Winter Olympic Games.

The meeting stressed that doing a good job in Xinjiang is a major event of the whole Party and the whole country. In accordance with the general secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, he should sum up his experience, innovate and expand his train of thought. First, it is necessary to plan the work of intellectual property assistance in Xinjiang in the new era and support the stability and development of Xinjiang. Second, we should support the construction of intellectual property protection center in Xinjiang and improve the level of intellectual property creation, protection and application. Third, we should support the construction of trademarks and brands and the protection of geographical indications in Xinjiang, and expand the economy with regional characteristics. Four, one belt, one road, should give full play to Xinjiang's regional advantages and play an important role in Xinjiang's "one belt and one road" intellectual property cooperation.
